Bitcoin transaction processing time is one hour

Why, do Bitcoin proponents not discuss the six (6) times ten (10) minute delay in sending money through the BlockChain network.
Which merchants will accept Bitcoin payments in less than six confirmations. I am tired of waiting... and waiting... to send Bitcoin between exchanges.
Please, correct me.

Does Airbitz plan to support Ether payments?

With the bitcoin transaction processing time problems, our local microbrewery has begun to push back on selling brews for bitcoin.
Does Airbitz have any plans to support payments using Ethereum in future releases? Paying with Ether rather than exclusively in Bitcoin?

FUN FACT! On September 1, 2018, the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) network was put to the test as BCH proponents flooded the mempool with millions of transactions. According to statistics during 24 hours, BCH miners processed over 2 million transactions. That is roughly 10 times as many as btc!

Bitcoin transaction unconfirmed, while way past expected processing time

  1. I have started a transaction (https://blockchain.info/tx/7da905ff2f82ac9307cdea917e126246ddb640a4c37025af6262ca398b9de86a) from "wallet A" at 2017-06-14 11:51:40 with
Fees 0.00066328 BTC, Fee per byte 293.487 sat/B
Which is not yet confirmed over 8 hours later.
  2. I have a second transaction (https://blockchain.info/tx/ec561ce683921809ebf8853cba8303c0852d5d4849920ef7116bbb15237ec3c9) from "wallet B" at 2017-06-14 18:08:25 with
Fees 0.000599 BTC, Fee per byte 265.044 sat/B
Which was started almost 8 hours later than the first, with less Satoshi per byte and was confirmed within approx 1 hour.
How can the first transaction, with a higher fee not be processed, while the second one is? I know I didn't choose the highest fee, but the selected fee should have processed the transaction within 3 blocks, which was supposed to be within 60 minutes according to https://bitcoinfees.21.co/.
I do have a past unconfirmed transaction (https://blockchain.info/tx/a762746aab9daa5fc32567c1d67cd82a752570464b5dcaf9c6c2c668e36b7619), for which I put a way too low transaction fee, on that wallet. If there is a previous unconfirmed transaction, does that mean the next transactions will wait for the unconfirmed transaction to complete? This will never happen...

First time shopping with Bitcoin. Transaction went through but payment wasn't processed in time?

Hello bitcoin!
Yesterday was my first day shopping with bitcoins and I was buying a bundle from humblebundle. When paying I was redirected to Coinbase payment window. At first I didn't understand what to do, so I didn't send the payment from my wallet until 1 minute and 30 seconds were remaining.
The timer expired and a short while after my wallet said that the transfer had been completed. No games, but I sent the bitcoins... I don't know what to do, will I get the bitcoins back after 24 hours? Should I contact their support?
Please help!

Where can I find history for Bitcoin transaction queue and the average time it takes to process a transaction?

It would be good to have this statistics to see how congested is the network, whether 1Mb transaction size limit becomes critical, etc.

You can set up your computer to process transactions for the bitcoin network and earn small amounts of bitcoin for your work. Like a part-time bankteller. For a variety of reasons, all purpose GPUs are faster than CPUs and relatively cheap compared to a specific 'mining' device. So people buy lots of GPUs to process more transactions and make more bitcoin.
This is ELI5 people not ELI read bitcoin daily
